Vitalino. I like the figure, Are you going to put buttons/buckle on the side of the breeches around the area of the knee. I'm a little curious about the musket. Is it suppose to represent a Brown Bess? ~Gary

Hello Gary

I tried to make, maybe, a "Long Land Pattern" Brown Bess...I put the image of the rifle that I am copying.

Am I wrong???

THANKS for the coments Gary

Vitalino, I would NEVER use a miniature weapon as a reference to do another. Miniature weapons all too often are inaccurate. If this image is too small E-mail me and I will send a larger file.~Gary

Looks good... one suggestions on the Brown Bess: thin it down. It looks a little thick (fat) at the butt, wrist and the forestock area.

I like you overall subject. you have done a great job on the anatomy being conveyed through the clothing and equipment. They look like something your figure is carrying, not like they are hanging on a Coat rack. Keep up the good work AND PLEASE keep posting new pictures as you progress. It is always enjoyable to see the work of others and how they develop their figures.

Here is a 1/9 Scale version I did for a 42nd Highlander AWI- 1778, that I sketched. I might be able to find the orignal Brown Bess drawings, if you are interested. (email me)
