Hi Gents,

This is my latest 1/35th scale piece I finished the other year, its a Tamiya Simca 5 with a lot of extra detailing, along with a beautiful figure from Roger Saunders with extra detailing that I sculpted.

The setting is an often seen image of the German Army fighting with nature, 'Rasputitsa' refers to the semi annual mud season, where un-paved roads turned into rivers of mud! our drivers day got a whole lot worse when his shovel broke!!

Thanks for looking.

Carlos

Perfectly done Carlos! I like the figure-painting approach to your painting of the vehicle.

Glad the guy is looking at the bright side of the situation...I would be more grumpy... ;-)

Cheers,
Adrian

This is a true joy to view! Exceptionally painted, excellent groundwork, all the elements well balanced and tells a story that is easy to understand. Fantastic results Carlos! (y)(y)

Now that is a lovely piece telling a story though the driver could be angrier in the face.

What did you use in detailing the Simca?

Cheers

Many thanks Guys for the encouraging feedback, I was hoping to have this at Euro, but a collector wanted it now, so I have said my Goodbye's ...

I did have an angrier face on the figure, but he looked like he'd been shot, so went for that smirk I sometimes get when the bad luck couldn't get any worse, of course, all the swearing and cursing has been done : )

For the detailing I made a lot of parts myself from Plasticard and etch bolt heads, I also thinned some parts right down that were too bulky, I used an etch set also from Hauler and made the front radiator cosy and folding tarp from Greenstuff along with the various flags and blankets, also the interior had some detailing, a bulkhead was made as it was missing, floor matts sculpted and door locks and handles etc .. It took a while to get it to paint, I also added the rubber beading found around the front and rear arches from copper wire. If I can find a WIP shot I'll post it up.

Thanks again

Carlos

Espectacular, Carlos. Un dominio total sobre varias disciplinas en la elaboración de viñetas.
Una maravilla, si señor. Enhorabuena por el trabajo.

Un saludo.
