I think that was not too hard to understand.:stop::arghh:

It is not that Martin! Please! Try to understand. It is, shall I say, angry. Perhaps this is the best word to use.

I will not place links, I will just expose why I'm in anger - last week I purchased (right here, to a fellow member of Planet Figure!) the Nuts Planet bust "Mother of Dragons".

But please, now search eBay for this: "1:10 resin bust Mother of Dragons - unpainted" and see what appears. It's not a matter of pasting links or not. I have saved searches (and most probably so do you) for the themes of your interest. But someone, in this case Nuts, invested money and now someone else is earning from it.

I'm going to warn NutsPlanet ... but, I'm sorry to say this, while I understand Stuart's deep frustration, and he is not at all alone because I am loosing my temper too with this, ... soft attitudes will not erase this plague!

Just spotted an Andrea mounted Templar Knight, 90mm, actually being advertised as a recast! Some bloke called Tony Wilbraham with a user name of "mystic warriors".
Cost is £25.00 starting bid. How are they allowed to do this?

READ, IAM TONY WILBRAHAM ive been in the hobby for many many years, was a box art painter for the imperial gallery, fort royal, Cromwell models, oakwood studios, jager min, comrades in arms, dream catcher, and far too many others to mention, I have a good name for those that know me and will vouch for me, NOW LETS GET THIS STRAIGHT - IAM NOT A RECASTER- I bought these models rightly or wrong depends on how you look at things, IF I CAN BUY A MODEL CHEAPER THAN WHAT FIGURE COMPANY IS ASKING FOR THEN I WILL DO SO, YOU ALL DO IT IN LIFE - YOU LOOK FOR THE BARGAIN BUT YET ITS FROWNED UPON IN OUR HOBBY ! I will continue to look for a bargain, I have made no quarms about telling people they are recasts, read my blog about the hobby as I see it, but do not judge me, the hobby of ours is for middle aged guys - there are no kids, and it was once an affordable hobby, YES I agree we must stop the recasters, but that is down the the manufacturers, AFFORDABILITY, we work together we can beat the recasters at there own game and be united, but until that day comes I will continue to buy bargains rightly or wrongly BUT IAM NO RECASTER, I also know of a well know company that was selling recasts but nothing was said, how do I know, because the resin was different along with the sprues, so its even closer to home than you think,

Better to remain silent and have people think me a fool than open my mouth and prove it. Seriously though, awhile back I told myself no matter what forum I am on, my one rule is to share my love for the particular hobby and learn as much as I can, sometimes my brain farts and I forget my rule:)

Frigging plague will never end! Now it's the CGS french imperial guard holding the flag the subject of a recast!

My wife gave me this gem when it was released, now a troll is profiting with counterfeits! Do something, people, please do!!!

Blue thunder, please message me the link privately, I will do everything I can to protect my product.
Many thanks

Thanks Nuno, he has been reported and I have sent 2 messages. In the morning I will get the ball rolling more, many thanks :)

Well I have had a little success in that all his listings are with no post to UK, except one.
Now in order to get contact information on eBay you need to be in a transaction, so I have paid for one of the items.
Needless to say I will be posting that counterfeit to the relevant company if it ever arrives.
I realise this may seem counterproductive but if it gathers more information, possibly even an address we have more info to pass on. The bonus is now I am going to ask eBay for contact information, which should include an address and phone number, which I can then post to all those hurt by this. Will keep you posted

Of course, I will be opening a PayPal dispute aswell and now have the opportunity to leave negative feedback stating that his products are stolen and counterfeit.

I have written to this person, and told him that he is dishonest in stealing other peoples figures. He brings our hobby into disrepute, and we in England will now do everything to Out him. He is a Thief, and needs to cease forthwith. I don't suppose it will change him in any way, but at least he knows that we are watching him, and how we feel .The likes of him will kill the hobby, because as Tony Wilbraham said, he himself looks for a bargain. Why then if others take this logic would anyone pay the full price when they can get it for less. The manufacturers will just not be able to bear the cost of commissioning new sculpts, and a downward spiral of inferior castings will become apparent as clapped out moulds are thrashed to their end limits. Never have we had it so good for such a diverse choice of subjects and quality of pieces, and I remember going back to the 70s and 80s when a lot of crap figures were offered, and I don't want to go back to them days. Quality always has a price.
