I am proud to present the first release from Recon Productions;
1/9 scale bust/half figure of a USMC BAR-gunner from the fierce battles near
Chosin Reservoir, Korea, Nov-Dec, 1950

(Pictures of the raw sculpt and the story of the construction can be found here:
The bust consists of 10 resin parts and a lenght of leadwire.
Sculpting by Sverre Melleby
Casting by YS Masterpieces
Boxart by Sverre Melleby
Official release will be right after Euro Militaire, but there will be 10 copies for sale at the YS Masterpieces stand at Euro Militaire. Each of those 10 will include a complementary brass plinth.
In the regular releases to come, on average every fourth will include a brass plinth.
Will you be one of the lucky ones?
And finally some information for those of you who dont like the addition of a full BAR.
The weapon comes it two pieces and can easily be adapted to fit the curve of the back, making it a regular cut weapon for that "true" bust look!
Be on the lookout for a review from planetfigures own "Napoleonpeart" in the not so distant future!
Information of where to buy Recon Production kits will be out soon, so watch this space!
Regards,
Sverre

Great to see your first release Sverre, a great looking bust indeed. Look forward to see it in the flesh, see you in a couple of days!

One of the best painted faces I've seen on here in a long time. Captures the weary and shell-shocked look perfectly.

A great sculpt but personally I would have loved to have seen this as a full figure. But that's just me, I'm sure it will be a big hit and good luck with your new range.
