Hi!

Just finished this great bust by Alexandros Models.
Not really left to say about this piece. I would like this piece painted more frequently, such a beautiful bust. The face is superbly sculpted, as well as the jacket.
The painting of his clean face was the hardest part on this bust, but I'm very satisfied with the result.

It depicts Manfred von Richthofen aka Red Baron, the German ace fighter pilot that fought for the Imperial German Army Air Service (Luftstreitkräfte) in the First World War. His airplane was the all-red Fokker Dr.I triplane.
Despite being offically credited with 80 air combat victories, he was shot down and killed in Amiens, near Vaux-sur-Somme, France, on 21 April 1918. He was twenty five years old.

Hi Pedro, this is one of those paint jobs that has my eyes moving from the face to the jacket to the fur collar back to the face then to the uniform, back to the jacket etc, etc, etc and wondering how did he get that effect, you have done a fantastic bit of painting on this getting all the different textures spot on.
Love it.

Thank you guys, for your comments.

I must say that the sculpt itself is very good and helps a lot with the textures, specially the jacket and the gloves. The paint just help it to pop out.

Wow. This is really nice bust (half-bust???), and your work on this piece is beautiful. I like the color palette. Very subtle shades that look really great at the end.

Cheers Borek
