Hi all,

As I like to look for references much in advances, I am now searching for references for two future project. First is on the Spanish civil war. All info on the uniforms (or lack of it) worn will be usefull.

Second I would like to sculpt a figure of a Turkish sailor during WWI. I think I have enough info for the uniform, but I would like to place him on a ship, but I have nothing on this. So all info on Turkish ships used during WWI (especially on the deck and railing) will be more then welcome.

Greetz,

Gino

HI Gino,

The best guide for the Uniforms of Spanish Civil War is the one of Mr. Jose Maria Bueno, "Uniformes Militares de la Guerra Civil Española", I don't have it so I can't coment on the content but I do own some other titles from the same author (The French Army and their Allies in Spain-it comes with Spanish and English text) His other works are really good so the one for the Spanish Civil War should be of the same quality.

Also you can check this site http://www.uniformes.s5.com/ from 1800 up to 1980.

Best Regards
Eduardo Tellez
