This is the latest release from Italian quirky model producers Scientific Models. It is a limited edition (100) model, created from original concept art by David Diez.
As usual, the packing is first class. A sturdy cardboard box with a picture of the model on the front, contains all the parts, protected by scrunched cardboard shreddings. The various small parts are held in small zip bags, and the base and umbrella are separate in the bottom of the box. The inside of the lid holds the no. of the kit, mine being no. 29 of 100. Also included are the usual little cards, a small thank you card and a little round card with an image of the model.
The parts have been cast very well, some parts are still attached to the pour frame, but they are easy to remove, with a hobby knive.
there is a fair bit of flash to clean, but nothing to bad. There is a mold seam on the umbrella canopy, but it is easily removed, and doesn't interfere with any of the surface detail.
Another lovely release from Scientific Models.
