Hey Gordy,

How come I cannot input my avatar? I went into the "edit options", "thread display" and checked the "show avatars" box. No dice. It still will not let me input the avatar. When I go into "edit avatar" the button that says "do not use an avatar" is on, but I cannot turn it off. What gives?

Is it something I said???

Thanks, Mike

Howdy -

Do you get the "Use Custom Avatar" option? if so select that then upload an avatar image from your own pc..

Keep in mind that the dimensions of the image for the avatar need to be no bigger than 80 pixels high by 80 pixels wide and less then 50kb in size if you stil have probs send it to me in an email and i'll post manually :) if the image falls outside the 80x80 dimensions the upload will not work..

Nope!!

The only option shown is "do not use avatar". And it does not allow me to turn it off or change it.

Also, I do not seem to be able to use emoticons in any of messages either. I know, that is a separate matter. The avatar one bugs me the most though.

Hello Gordy,

Smilies are OK with me :) but I have the same problem as Mike concerning the avatar (The only option shown is "do not use avatar". And it does not allow me to turn it off or change it. )

Cheers,
Quang

Gordy - I think the avatar thingie is still not working. I've e-mailed you a screen shot of my edit avatar page. I believe the avatar itself fits the size limits, but it still won't post. I also edited my signature - adding my blog page address to it - and that saved and displayed properly.

All the best,
Dan
