Well it happen less than 2weeks ago i finally retired and i feel happy more than i every had before.

You'll love it, every day is like a Saturday.
I retired 7 months ago just after my 57th birthday (2 years later than I'd planned) and it's been brilliant.
I'm doing a bit of voluntary work which I think is good for the soul. The best bit is getting up in the morning and having the whole day to myself.
Cheers
Derek:D

Derek are you saying....57 ???????
I was promised to go on retirement after 40 years working. Now, just 2 year to go and they stretched it for me till 66.
So by then I have worked 50 years.
Now I know why the Dutch has to work so long.....
We fill the EU moneyhole out of our the Pensionfunds.....
And all the other countrys are lauchen at us.

Anyway........I hope you can enjoy it for another 40 years or maybe more.

Marc, it's 50 years for me also...stretched also very abruptly....:thumb down::thumb down:

Congratulations on your retirement. I have also retired aged 51 years. I have never worked so hard since. I now have to do all the housework!! :confused::eek:

I wonder what is the sensation?
Congratulations you made it!

Marc, not just you mate, I work since 1990 (18) and I can only think on my retirement at age of 65 maybe 67 with new measures, so, 47 or 49 years working, many nights with open eyes see the trains passing by on the tracks.:D
I dont think the new generations will have this luck, the world is changing for worst more 10 years democracy is gonna be a distant view in Europe...:thumb down:
