Thanks for that Stuart very enlightening and interesting. Watching the videos the touch hole smoke seems to be blasted out of the way once the powder in the barrel is ignited. Not sure how it would stand up but a longer more wispy bit of cotton wool would look about right.

Cheers Simon

Thanks Simon,
That's the issue, it's a bit of an Indian Rope trick, getting the "smoke" wispy enough to look right won't stand up, but so thick that it's stands up don't look right. I'm going to try some alternative methods.

Good luck it will be interesting seeing how you crack this one.

Cheers Simon

After a bit of a break for other things I've finally finished this one. If you'll pardon the pun it's been a blast. I loved working out the gun effect and the great feedback as I went along. As ever all I see now are my errors and shortcomings but I've got to stop now for a family Christmas, so I'll file it as "done".
Thanks all, Stuart

I think it's all come together very well, and the way you have animated the firing of the gun makes this an innovative and totally unique piece, well done!

Hi Stuart

That’s a result with a “BANG” ....looks great full of action and the effects really work well

Nicely painted and presented as well

Have a great family Christmas look forward to seeing more from the bench very soon
