Hi All,
I'd appreciate some feedback on this one please as it's my first figure painted in Acrylics. I started out painting my Airfix kits in Humbrol enamels years ago, and then graduated to Historex and oil paint. Returning to the hobby recently I continued in oils and enamels but noted that many were using acrylics, so I thought I'd give them a try. I like the short drying time compared to oils and the ability to overpaint much sooner. Anyway, here's "Captain Mercer" from MMM, also my first 200mm figure. I got this discontinued figure from a stall at the BMSS show last April. On getting it home it was evident the kit had had a hard life, with the peak of the Tarleton helmet broken and missing and several other bits broken. I did what I could with green stuff and used Army Painter Warpaint Acrylics. The campaign table is scratch built, as I thought such a large figure needed some furnishing.
