The picture below is from a friend who recently returned to painting figs after a while off, hes not exactly happy with this figure thinks the greens a bit off. When I saw it I thought WOW.

The greens look OK to me,Robin. Like Georges said,your friend is too modest.If that is his standard of painting after a lull period,imagine what he can achieve if he does it more often ! !

The green also looks good to me. Your friend's standards may be a bit high ehehhe but the results looks great to me. Excellent skin tones and highlighting/shadowing.
