Hi all!

Here it is a new guest in my home, and since I didn't saw any review of this nice figure I decided to do one. I'm hoping that you like it.

Personally the figure is a new passion for me, cause the first time I saw it I didn't like it. But then, not long ago I started to look at it with more attention and now I love it and I bought it!
It was sculped by Andrea Jula, and box art painted by Diego Ruina, with historical notes of Marco Giuliani.

Represents a Franco-Germanic Errant Knight that used to exist in central europe during the 14th and 15th centurys, that were marauders or mercenarys, often nobles or bastards, that in order to run from an ecclesiastic career, since were the last child with no heirloom disappear to become these dark characters. (Marco Giuliani notes)

I have to say that it has the usual pegaso standart: Excellent!
No major clean up, very nice details, nice dry fitt.
Comes with usual pegaso standard hard blue box with bigger dimenions, since it has a horse.
The pieces come between two large foam pieces, and the small ones inside 3 little bags, and when I opened it: Heaven!!!

The horse is as usual in 3 pieces and his hair in several parts, along with the genitals and hears.
Note that one leg of the horse in which the weight is bigger has a pin inside it. No further work needed on that ;)

So the conclusion it's: If you like it, don't hesitate, BUY IT!!! It's great!!
I'm sure I'm gonna have lot's of fun building it, despite my girfriend mostly likely is gonna kill me, but thats other problem :p

My thanks to the Pegaso Crew for such nice kit as this one.

Hope you liked it
Best Regards
Pedro

Great review Pedro.
Looks and sounds like a good figure. The pose is excelent and the horse is 'heavy' correct for this type of cavalry.
I wish you luck with your build and painting of the piece and with your girlfriend, I hope that you survive both ;).
Thank you for posting.
Cheers,
Keith

I think this is a good choice for a large mounted & very nice sculpt. I started one years back, but never finished it. I look forward to your painting ( as I`m sure your girlfriend will :)

Now, with respect, because I love Pegaso, although they have cast a steel rod in to one of the legs, it does not go up far enough so there is NO support for the body of the horse and all that weight and it WILL sag at the rear flanks over time.

I suggest you carefully drill out the insides and add 2 part epoxy sculpt and include 2 of the thickest brass rods you can cut, down both sides of the full length of the horse body casting.

Also, you should drill down the rear leg and try to "meet" the cast in steel rod with a thick brass rod so it looks like this:

____\ < brass rods
\ < rear leg

Thank you for your comment and suggestion RFL. I believe the steel rod goes right to the center of the back of the horse. But you can be right. I will put some rods along the horse.
Regarding to drill the rear leg, I don't see much space to do it...

Pedro
