Guys,
It has been a long time since my last post.... actually I stop figure modelling due to moving house and my mom gon ethru' brain surgery (she's all OK now).
This is a vinyl kit I bought from a Thai seller on Evil bay. Being a recast vinyl kit, the detail is not good. But it's cheap for me to test painting technic.... painting chrome effect with blue hue.
This kit will be done to enter my local Movie Mayhem Group Build. As seen in the movie "Robocop 2", in which robocop armour plate was coated chrome with blue hue. I used Tesco silver paint spray can as base, and Tamiya clear blue to build up the hue. partly post shades airbrush, partly hand brush. It's a fast and rush job, I took about 4 nites to paint, avaerage 2hours per nite.
After the paint dry I clear gloss coated the kit again and again (3 to 4 coats) to get the metal shine. For the black metal part I used clear semi gloss coat (satin).
I've done some modification, cut the right arm to bend the elbow so the hand raised the gun. And scratch built the gun with plastic card as the kit gun was a blob.
U'll have to come see for yourself for the gun detail adn the figure itself on the GB as my lousy skill camera shots are as below....
Enjoy and CnC are welcome....
