Looking great Rocco,
Thanks for the red mixes. Gonna try these one. Looks a clean and neat high and shading. How is that wet on wet mixing with the violet. When i mix the W&N Violet it didn't mix very well.

Marc

Marc, when applying violet wet on wet, if the results are not to your liking, just repeat the procedure untill you get the desired effect.
Hope this helps and thanks for looking.

hello roc, this one is comming alone very good, specially like the bronze protector. I don't know it is finished yet, but I think the reds need a bit more contrast...

Ernesto, my friend, thank you for looking and for the kind words.
The reds still need extreme shadows ans highlights..

I finally got around to painting the helmet's crest.

I mix my own black by mixing equal amounts of Prussian blue, Magenta and Burnt umber.

Base = Prussian blue, Magenta, Burnt umber and some Mars yellow.
Shadow = base mix minus the Mars Yellow.
Highlight = Base + Naples yellow.
high highlight = Naples yellow.
extreme highlights equals touches of white here and there.

All colors are Windsor Newton.
