Hello!
After a long brake I continue to post one of my figures. It is a 1:9 scale bust showing field marshal Rommel after the successful siege of Tobruk.
The model is made of resin and was painted with acrylics (base colours) and oil for the details. Please help me to improve my work by posting comments.

Georg,

Your painting is very need and clean. Great work. Except around the eyes, and in the ears, this is in one word not as the rest of your painting. It looks like you get in a hurry and thats is a pitty.
But above, your figure is real good painted with a good rendition of the uniform color.
It is not my favorite period, but i can be very happy when i see such a nice painted bust.

George,
I'm with Gary, the details on this piece are very crisp and clean, actually to the point that the uniform needs more shading and highlights. It is clean but lacks a bit of depth. I like the effect you acheived with the sheen on the bill of the hat. Keep 'em comin'!

Very good work George,Maybe some contrast would be better but You did a really clean painting,no brushstokes!
best regards

I find it great as it is, no contrast wanted. I like this subtle effect on the uniform and the face is great. The hat is more than outstanding. I don´t think you need any imrovement, you need to keep working......

Hello friends!
Thanks a lot for your constructive comments. I am really trying to enhance the contrasts in the colours during my recent figures, but I am always too cowardly in realizing it. maybe painting without magnifiers would bolster this efforts.
