Thank you all for your kind words. I got home this afternoon and was able to pretty much finish the bust. I used a pattern with paper for the goggles then stensiled it onto a sheet of clear plastic.

Even better now. I was worried about the scarf before but you've tidied that up. I hope you passed him through some RTV before you reached for the paint! What's next?

Cheers

Wow, great! What a likeliness, and a very subtle and wonderfull expression on his face!
If this is your first, I wonder what your 10th will look like...

Best wishes,

Marijn

Excellent likeness Dave. You clearly have talent, since they're one of the most difficult things to capture...

I'm looking forward to seeing what other sculpts you conjure up. How long did this one take you?

Thank you all again for the comments.

Colin:

Unfortunately, I have never tried to make a mold before and I certainly didn't feel that my work would be good enough to be sold commercially. This being my first original piece, I actually used painting as a way of determining if subtle changes needed to be done. Bottom line is "Erwin" here will stay as a one-of-a-kind experiment for now. In the future, if something I sculpt that is worthy of reproducing, I will be hounding you guys for advice.

Regards

Dave
