I seems suspicious that those who led the out campaign are all resigning or retiring ... as if they want someone else to remedy the complexities they've created.

I agree that to hear Chros Evans isn't doing Top Gear anymore with his stupid shouting is really good news.

Cheers

It's because they really didn't have any plan... these sods are going to create lots of costs and chaos all over the place.

And Chris Evans quit because he wasn't very good or funny and his shouting meant everyone hated the egoistic Clarkson betrayer.

Yum farthings and furlongs.
anyone got the back of an exercise book so I can learn
them again?

Paul

Now let's see,....I know there's LOTS of farthings in a furlong, but those fishy things got in the way (rod, pole or perch) Followed rapidly by chains. In deference to our Colonial Friends, we used to call two half-crowns a dollar, or five bob, and one was , surprise , half a dollar. I've still got my Festival of Britain 1951 crown piece, and of course, Her Maj's Coronation crown piece.

I was thinking a while ago that many British MP's would vote more with their hearts than the party line if they felt able to do so without retribution.

I wonder if it could ever be possible to Conscript us the voters just like jury service to be MP's for say 6-9 months and then stand down to be replaced by another citizen member appointed by rote.

You would not be there long enough to mess about on party divicive lines, but to get on with legislating.
nor would these lobby groups have any influence on debate.
Of course I can see flaws in this but I would love to see members of my community taking responsibilty for each other's future very earnestly.

I am just a little concerned he has adopted the Imperial eagle a few days into being Mr Speaker.
I would have thought the imperial Bee would have been more appropriate for a man so busy.

Paul

Paul. I should not worry too much, this 'Eagle', has a packet of 'Hob-Nobs', under foot. However it is all about political presentation.;)

Mark.
