For everyone gloating about the people being heard....just about every second Brit is very disappointed now.

To me it shows what a lousy policy instrument a referendum is. The in and outs voter distributions are very very unequal. Most of Scots want in, rural English want out, Londen wants in. What I find the saddest statistic so far, is that the younger the voter the bigger the Remain majority, up to 70%, meaning that the majority of people with a working life half or wholly ahead of them found it a better idea to spend that as part of the EU.

Anyway, we'll see how it turns out. I think it will be bad for all, but we can only truly evaluate this is a couple of years or so. it's been a historical day, but not the end of the world.

Too true. I wonder just how many of those who voted really understood the implications either way - in or out - or were just driven by emotion and political rhetoric? Let's hope it doesn't have unintended consequences for our British cousins that people never thought about.

We seem to forget the EU was born out of a desire to prevent going to war in Europe again after the Second World War, and to build a greater cohesion and better relations between their nations - something other nations outside Europe might learn.

Good luck the UK - and we hope the consequences work out for you.

Nothing more to say and I agree with all Chris had written

Since he assumed Belgium to be a city and was convinced that the Scots voted EU out, I doubt he could even point out Britain on the map.
Don´t think so...;):D "A delusional billionaire's perception of a world map":

Yes..... this is something that we seem to forget. In geo political terms the individual European nations are too small and vulnarable. Strenght trough unity. Maybe it takes years of foreign occupation and murder & bloodshed on an unimaginable scale to realize the importance of it.

And yes I also assume that the 'yes' voters were primarily driven by driven by emotion and political rhetoric (pushed through their throats by ... well you know who). I watched many Brits being interviewed on the street: 90 % showed no real understanding of matters.

I would hesitate to call it wise to let them make political decisions. Ah ...........the blessings of a referendum.

Has anyone stopped to think that all the doom and gloom that everyone thinks is going to happen to the U.K. has a possibility of the effecting E.U. big time.As the second biggest contributor to the E.U. How are they going to find the money to bail out the countries that are near collapse once we're gone?

Who is Piers Morgan?

The polite phrase would be the sycophantic slimeball scumspawn right hand man of beelzebub who buys those special mirrors that Donald Trump finds give the answer they wanna hear.
He apparantly had no idea as newspaper editor that his reporters hacked mobile phones for stories like every other press rag deemed 'Industry standard' procedure.

Apart from that he is not the nicest person.

Many in the public eye in Britain refer to him by using a mantra akin to Babelfishes posts.
"If ya seez it ya slaps it".
Paul.

:ROFLMAO: - "I want my money back" - ever heard of the "UK-rebate" covered by the other member states having a volume of 6,1 billion € in 2014 reducing the UK contribution effectively to the fourth rank within EU on a regular basis (- Germany paying 45% of all contributions regularly btw. - so guess how much the second rank will have to contribute)?
Brian - as a nation you won`t be missed I am afraid - fortunately and hopefully friendships will continue.
