Having seen the soon to be released figures from 1879 miniatures, I thought I would re-paint the Dragoon Guard from the talented hands of Mike French. I painted this one, way back in 1989, when it was first released. My painting then was not very good but passable. It has improved to slightly better.
I now paint in acrylic's as my partner can't stand the smell of white spirit, so here goes.

Classic. Very nice Bob.
Mick

Try spike lavendar oil... works better than white spirit and smells like Provence on a summer's afternoon.

As Mick says a classic

Reckon your painting has improved more than a little ...bit like my good looks

Following with interest

Great start Bob....(y)....Mike

What a great figure.

Nice start Bob. I think Paul (peedee) was painting this same figure at this years IPMS at Bolton and it certainly looked a great figure in the flesh.

Neal.

Nice work Bob
