Merci Alex. Maintenant qu'il est terminé, on va pouvoir se faire une journée de peinture très bientôt !
Merci Rod. Content que cela te plaise. J'ai bien hâte de voir ta prochaine pièce.

Thanks Phil but I still have much to learn !

Beautiful artwork, you are one of those painters who will take a difficult subject and do an extreme paint job on it, I would not have the patience to see that through, how long did it take you from you opened the box and please tell me that you had lots of corrections to perform in order to get the detail into the painting. I could spend hours just looking at this figure.
You must be over the moon with the end result.

Hi Terry

It took around 100 to 120 hours total I would say.
The figure was never stripped or anything like that. The main color scheme was in my head from the start. Then some research to find the proper patterns, textures, etc. Was not sure about the belts at the end but it came to me one night while sleeping !
I paint like I draw which means you always go from a diffuse painting to a more precise thing, adjusting the shapes all the time, values, the degree of highlights and shadows until you are satisfied. I can say that I am in a 'second state' when I paint sometimes even if I am completely sober :) And you should never leave the brush down until you are totally happy with the result.
Now it feels so good because I will start a 'new' figure this week !!
