Being a baby boomer, I grew up on Sargent Rock comic books. I found this mini
in a game store years ago and Sargent rock in the future instantly came to mind. Painted in oils and gunzo metalics

Jay, Cool mini. It's a Ral Partha right? Sgt. Rock was one of my favorites also, in addition to Sgt. Fury and his "Howling Commandos" and the "Haunted tank". Though it would probably not fit properly a 1/35 M1 helmet with Sergeant stripes would be neat.~Gary

I like the mini; so full of character and sympathetically painted. Well done. I have a recollection this was produced by Games Workshop and known as an "Ogryn" or some such name, an extension of Ogres into their 40K gaming system, sometime in the late 1980s. Can anyone confirm?

You're right. I remember the Ogryn from 40K. Don't know why I thought it was Ral Patha.~Gary

I too read Sgt.Rock faithfully when i was a kid.Nice job on the figure, but he looks more like the Rock's sidekick Bulldozer, the dude that packed the .50 cal all the time

P.S.
Gary, how about sculpting Sgt. Rock and some of the other characters from easy Company, that would be cool!

Steve

Sgt. Rock...Now that is a blast from the past. And Sgt Fury to boot. Awesome guys. Anyone out there ever read Capt Savage and his Leather Neck Raiders? I would love to be able to sculpt some of the characters from these comics...

Happy Trails, Terry Martin
