Hello,
I've been a lurker on the board for quite awhile, and have been in awe of some of the work displayed here.
I finally got up the courage to post a project I've been working on.
Constructive critisism's certainly welcome.

Welcome to the planet John. You have done a super beautiful job on the flesh tones. I am anxious to see more of your progress with this bust. I had this bust at one time and I know it is a heavy monster. Beautiful casting.

Well I'm in awe of that face!

Superb work there. The fleshtones are wonderful.
His beard looks a little frosty. Is that your intent?

Please share more of your work!

Cheers
Andy

Absolutely wonderful, Brock! The face is so life like it's incredible! Matchless blending, my friend. Did you paint it in oils or acrylics?

Again, beautiful work and please let us see some more of your work!

Dear John,

Your skin tone is perfect. Just like a real person. The eyes are even better. Did you use hand brush or air brush for the face? Please share with us how you achieve the realistic effect.

regards :)

John, That face is fantastic! What do you work in? Oil or acrylics? Do you have a mix for this? Glaad that you stopped lurking, you do fine work.~Gary

Dave,
I believe it is about 300mm in scale and made by Fort Royal Review. Very much out of production, so it's a prized-possession for those who have it. They sometimes pop up on eBay and fetch the seller a decent amount of bucks.

Jhon, first welcome to the world of planeteers.
I am glad that you stopped lurckin and post your work. You should have done it earlier.
You have done a superbe face, with great skintone's. As you see on the reactions everybody wanted to now more about how you did. So do I.
Keep posting.

Marc

Thanks much guys.
The face was painted by hand with Liquitex acrylics and pastels.
The mix I use is equal parts Raw Sienna, Burnt Sienna, and Cadmium Orange.
I then lighten it up with Titanium White.I use the pastel for shading and high lighting followed by sealing it all with Dull Cote.
The eyes were glossed with Future Floor Finish.
Hope this helps.

Very nice work. Some of the cleanest lines and most realistic flesh tone I have ever seen...a work of art!

Can't wait to see how you handle the tarten pattern on the cloak...

All the best

Patrick

Wow, i fell in love with the flesh! I like it a lot. Which scale is the bust? 1:9? Im pleased to see more of your works!
