Hello Maher,
Thank you for your comments and thoughts, you are absolutely right, every war reveals not only the loss of hope but also death and fear as you talently depicted them in the face of your soldier!
Now every time you post your progress there is something new that shows not only your sculpting skills but
your painting talent also! that MP40 is so realistic that my first thought was that it is a reference picture!
Your work as i said before is quality work and deserves the best!
Congratulations once again !!!
Dimitris.

This is stunning work. As for wearing the gas mask, I'm sure there were instances where troops would use the gas mask even if there was no gas. One example I can think of is when using the Panzerschreck, you can often see the firer and the loader wearing gas masks to protect themselves from the hot exhaust fumes.

Hi,

Dimitris & John, thank you kindly for your comments gentlemen!
John, good to see someone defending the mask & helmet combination... Interesting info!
Still no progress with the second bust, but continuing the build of the 1:4 scale accessories!

Outstanding Maher!
If i didn't see your hand i wouldn't believe that these are accessories in scale !!
You have a talent to "shrink" reality!
Congratulations!!!

Evening gentlemen!

Dimitris, thanks mate & sorry for the very late reply!

I'm back to complete this project finally!
I'll cast another copy for the head to attach the mask to it! The previous attempt is too good to ruin!

Looking at the head closely with a magnifier, I found hundreds of very tiny air holes.. It doesn't show to bare eye! Will try AK primer/filler and see the outcome!

CCs are welcome!

Cheers,

Hi Mayher

Good to have you back with this ...I think the air holes should be filled okay with interactive if not perhaps a very diluted mix of ms putty .

Do share the other head as well !

Thanks for sharing

Hi Nap.. Thanks for your suggestion.. I'll be experimenting on it this weekend and will try the diluted putty! will update and post the outcomes!

Regards,

Maher

Welcome back Maher!
Excellent choice the "two head" option, it would be "waste of talent" for such an alive face to be covered with the (also very realistic) mask.
waiting (always) for your next step.
Dimitris

Thanks Dimitris and much appreciated!
I'm just waiting for the primer I ordered online.. Might come by next week.

Regards,

Maher
