Re: Scracth buildind attempt

Excellent sculpted bust sofar Dimitrios!
This will be a showtopper when finished.

Cheers,
Marcel.

Nice work. Add a mime. Wrinkles on the forehead and eyes. Smooth surface can be artistic brush moistened with water or vegetable oil. Bake at 170 degrees Celsius. This is more than instruction. This ensures greater durability. Try to bake the first test piece of material.: D

Some very slow progress here.
Feel free to shoot critiques.

Re: Scracth buildind attempt

Wow, this looks really awesome! You are talented both painting and sculpting.
I prefer this full-scratch-from-zero one to the previous conversion one.

I have only Super Sculpey FIRM and I heard particles of FIRM is smaller and harder than standard Super Sculpey.
What do you use for smoothing the surface? It looks very smooth.

Yes, firm is probably the most useful of the Polyform clays for figure sculpting. It is finer and harder than Super Sculpey and the gray color shows details better. You can smooth any of these clays with isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol. I use 90% but I doubt if the percentage matters much.
@ Carl: I used to travel on the same school bus as Mr. Day-Lewis's Aunt Rosemary and was madly in love with her for a while. I can't speak for her nephew, but there is no resmblance to her here, at all. :)

I told you my opinion in person .I am looking forward to see it finished .I am confident this will be another prime example of exquisite sculpting and painting .
