Hello:
I hope don't disturb but I've sculpted an Indian elephant for a wargames manufacturer in 25mm.
The elephant is 47mm height and I've done it in separated parts to be casted as a metal kit. There are another methods to do it but this was very useful for me.
Is somebody is interested to see a kind of "pass to pass", please visit:

I hope to be useful for somebody.
Kindest regards from Buenos Aires.

Leonardo, Very nice. A very informative step by step. That method would also be useful for doing horses.~Gary

Thanks Leonardo! I like your use of the 'natural model' to obtain the texture.--Bob

Thanks all you very much for your words.
I thought that this sculpting method for multi-parts piece could be a variant to other ones. Of course, this could be used to sculpt horses or any other animal to be casted in many parts.
The idea of a "natural model" came to me from some pictures of artistical painted hands. I've remembered one ot these, a hand painted simulating an elephant.
Kindest regards and thanks again:

Leonardo
