This is a beautifully sculpted and cast figure, produced by Michael Roberts,I don't know who the sculpter is.
I painted this figure last year.As we all learn from each other ,I welcome your critique and advice so that we can grow and better our skills together.
My naughty little cat bend the arrow with her paw,I just noticed it.

Another great figure Rocco........I scrolled back to see if I could see anything I would suggest improvement on but couldn't see anything on a great paintjob. Love the groundwork too.....very well done.

Rocco,

Very well done. You'd never know that he's a year old. It looks as good as the recent stuff you've posted with a year's more expereince behind you. My only suggestion- eat the cat, buy a dog . I can say this, I have a cat myself.

I have 2 older cats and they both give my desk a wide berth.......I leave my paint rag folded up right in the middle of my paint area after finishing each day........they have super noses and can't stand the smell of the thinners I use.....therefore stay away from my desk.

Guy and Mike thanks for the kind words.

Mike,I would love the eat the cat and get a dog,but my wife would kill me.
She loves that cat more than she loves me.

Looking great Roc! The bronze/copper leg armor is super! If anything to suggest, maybe tad more contrast, but this is a personal preference and the figure is large scale so too much contrast might not look so good.

Hey Anders,
Thanks for pointing that out,I think I'm going to add a bit more shading with Sepia to give the armor a bit more contrast, as you suggested.

THis is the beauty of this model forum, people respond with suggestions and advice
that can truly improve your skills as a painter. I like that very much and appreciate it.

The sculptor is Chris Walther. I do not think Chris has sculpted or entered anything in years that I know of.~Gary

Yes, it's nicely done.
BTW Roc, have you ever tried to highlight bronze or gold armor with silver?

Robert

Hey Robert,
Thanks for the kind words, much appreciated.
I usually use testor's silver as catch eye for very extreme highlights on bronze or gold.
By the way your little Napoleon looks fantastic. (y) (y)
Is it available in the U.S.A.?
