Completed Sergeant Edward Bird, Royal Horse Artillery 1877, Series 77 Miniatures, 77mm Metal

This is a true 77mm figure from Series 77 as opposed to the 90mm American series. I have had it forever and finally decided to get it painted. It is an interesting figure with a relatively plain uniform but wonderful saddle detail.

The kit was built straight from the box with only the base being enhanced. All painting was done in acrylics.

A quick but fun project. Thanks for looking.

Just discovered a year or so ago that my great grandfather served in the RA and was posted to India in the mid 1890s and I have been looking for a suitable figure ever since. Hoping to find one in khaki, but will settle for the blue home service uniform.
