Don't you have beds in the west country.
I know they say the older we get the less sleep we need but you are cracking
on with this mate,
The badges will put a stop to your gallop.
Have it finished by tea time.
Mick
Thanks Mick, I must admit i was up until 1am, and could have carried on but didn't want the wife coming through and having a moan.

Looking forward to painting the badges, love detail work.:)

Geoff

I've had enough for today but made a lot of progress.

I've not used metallic paints on him but mixed docraft Artiste acrylic Pearl Medium with Vallejo 948/016 Golden Yellow for the gold lace and with 989/154 Sky Grey for the silver, really pleased with the way this works.

Loved painting the rank badges on the arms, and the medals, still needs a bit more work but pleased so for.

Hand and gloves still need more painting but it's all starting to come together.

PPS ...Geoff ..blimey you did all that whilst I was posting!!!....nice one

Sgt Major Edwards is finished, "walking out cane" painted and fitted, beard and hair given a dry brush to bring out the grey, highlights added to uniform and medals given a light brush with pearl medium.

Very pleased with the result and have found a spot for him in the cabinet with the rest of my various scale figures and busts from the Crimea period.

Now onto the next project, Roll Call pt.1 from again the Crimea from Gordon at Mitches MM, this time a set of 5 figures in 1/32nd and with legs Nap.

Bye for now
Geoff

Many thanks to you all, I really enjoyed the painting of him and the medals and rank insignia was the type of challenge I love.
My grey army is very small, one bust untouched, one part painted, two in the post and 4 out of 5 1/32nd Roll Call figures to paint, as I have painted one

while waiting for paint to dry on Sgt. Major Edwards.
The eyes are all there, I think my lighting is not very good for pic taking, might have to make a light box.

Many thanks again Guys
