Being reading this excellent book by James Holland, following the experiences of the Sherwood rangers so I thought I would do my own tiny tribute.
An Alpine British tanker (I really wish they would do more) with a sombre looking Hornet head and Sten from the spare stash. All painted in Acrylics.

Thanks for looking.

Lovely job as always, Paul. Reminds me of a story my late father told me (he served in NW Europe 1944-45) , allegedly the Sherwood Rangers Yeomanry were the first allied troops to enter Germany due to a map-reading error.....
Also, the author lives not far from me & is an all-round top bloke, I've read quite a few of his WW2 books but the ones I found most enjoyable were his Jack Tanner novels.

Hi Paul

Lovely looking figure and what a great hornet head to choose , fine painting and simple effective base work

Great tribute

Thanks for all the kind words.

Very nice, like the addition of the football scarf.(y)
Ta. It' Notts Forest to give him that local lad feel.

Very well done, Is that a pipe in his pocket... Its the small touches that make a great figure.. (y)

Yeah I think it's his pipe, sadly I can take no credit for that, its down to the great Alpine sculpt.
