Very interesting to see all your work zones. But if there is an award for the untidiest work bench, I claim that for me ;)

I have my own room, it was the room from my son, when he was living here with his parents a few years ago.
Since he moved away, the room was used as a boxroom until I took it up as my hobbyroom.

I have one work bench for painting jobs and another table to make dioramas, airbrush and other modelling jobs.
In my world I have to have everything in reach. Sometimes I have to search a while for the things I need at the moment.
But what the heck, I can only work in chaos.:D

Cheers
Robert

Airbrush cabin is an old cardboard box, turned around of course, when needed

Room for the finished ones, too small already

The painting zone, lots of unfinished projects. I am always working on different figures at the same time
"Philadelphia" is only a container for clean water

Hi Ark,

"My workbench, my own manufacture"

Great organization! (y)

From what I can see, those working with acrylics have in general a much larger collection of paints! Yours is amazing!

Hello Dolf thank you and if I have enough those that can be seen and those that I have stored in the drawers, I also have a good arsenal of greetings oils

Hello all, it's been a while since I have been here, real life having gotten somewhat in the way. But to the matter at hand.
A new flat, has meant that I now have a small room for myself. There is a lot of work still to be done, but I've started working on models again. Here's the room looks like sofar. To the right of the current bench will be another building/airbrush bench, and the present bench will be the figure/painting bench.the space between the windows will have a large bookcase/storage unit, and the wall to the left of that will have a display case.

Hi Henk

Nice to have you back again and congratulations on the new flat , you certainly seem to know where everything's going !!!

I think I am organised ...but have things in every conceivable space ( we downsized !!)

Look forward to seeing your results and WIP's from the bench

Don't forget FOTM and also vote in the previous month

Happy benchtime

All the best for 2020

Hi!

Nothing fancy (still not an entire floor, not even a full room for the hobby), but recently did some small modifications on my working area, finally liberating the living room main table after two years working on it (luckily no damage whatsoever, now clean again) so just a quick update with some new pics. Bought one of those 120cm X 80cm melanin worktop/tabletop from Leroy-Merlin, and it stands on two easels. Still have to get one of those cutting mats, as it might allow for a bit more space to work:

After moving everything from it, and some cleaning:

And the new work bench, now fully operational:

As I do use the same 3 IKEA lamps for taking pictures of the models, and the "photo-studio" is on the kitchen's table, it turns out that on occasion I use again the same 2 lamps I used before:

As I don't have a closed cabinet for keeping my figures/busts safe, and dust is one of their worst enemies, for each new figure/bust, I use those IKEA glass cloches with a wood base, or their similar ones, with no wood base, for some busts, such as the La Meridiana Miniatures Apache Lipan seen in one of the pics below (Viriato, from RP Models, on the 1st pic below, being so huge, is the only exception, as I haven't found an adequate protection for it yet) :

That wall is now full:

Nap,

"Looking good Dolf ...settled in nicely"

Thanks! We do with what we can, and try to make it as practical and enjoyable as possible, I guess ;)

"...still space to fill !!!"

Barely... :p

Cheers!

Nice work area Henk! It looks like the work space in a corner of my apartment when I first got married. 50 years later, I'm retired and share an office/work room with my wife. It's still just a corner of a room, but a nicer room. :)

The good news is now I've got lots of storage in the basement for my stuff. And my stuff has certainly increased over the years.;)

Cheers,
Ken

Hi Ken

Is that a real Sharps on the wall there? Mine's only an Italian repro but it's fun to shoot!

Lovely set up BTW

Hi All

Here's a shot of my workspace. It is in a brick built outbuilding at back of our bungalow. Window overlooks patio end of gardsen. Modelling shares it with reloading for my shooting hobby. Warm, light and cosy, but I still have to go outside to get to it, which can be a pain if it is pouring with rain (like it is now!!). Lots more paint since the photo was taken.

Very nice Phil! We are lucky to have such dedicated areas even with some limitations. Take care and stay safe.

After "renovation" my hobbyroom for the last days at my easter day offs and sorting things new Im able to show you some pics.
At the moment the hobby room is about 60% renovated (the racks are new). Next part will be some new furniture on the other side of the room where the figure stash is. But this can take much time some sorting in this side will help gapping the time until new furniture.
Im mostly a 1:16 RC Tank Modeller thats the reason for so much armour.

Where are the finished panzers ? I only see a lot of WIP.

Nice clean working bench.

Mine looks like yours - once in a year, after spring cleaning. :D
