Looks like the cloth from an old seaside deck chair, pretty good.
Cheers Simon
Ah yes that's a good reference picture and I see what you mean about the cloth of the chair. It looks like the jacket and trousers are slightly different colours, I remember my father saying not many of them had matching sets when he did his National Service. Good luck with the medal ribbons.
Cheers Simon
Damned, now you say it,yes there is a difference between them, the jacket is like more green ??? you see it very good, and now hé ??? it must be good ,don't talk about the ribbons please now
can't see it very good, and first must the jacket be OK,so must repaint it,but what colors then hé ,brown/green???????
Regards
Mario
Oops sorry mate, I reckon you could get away with tinting the jacket with some highly controlled green washes, but really don't sweat it, this is your version you are allowed to make it look better.
Cheers Simon
Really didn't mean to cause you any issues Mario in my defence that is the first time I have seen that picture in colour. If you are going to try and change it try on a practice piece first until you get the technique right. Good luck mate.
Cheers Simon
Still love the stripes on the chair seat.
Cheers Simon
Like Simon says, that chair looks great, the stripes will really pop this when you put it all together. About the colours in the photograph, is it an original colour photograph, or a colourised black and white one? Either way, dont take the colours as gospel, an original photo would be 80 years old, and colourised photos are an artists impression....
You are doing fine, I would not change anything on account t of the photograph.
Hi Mario,
Great work on the chair really looks the period part and very nice wear on the arms.
cheers
