Thanks Mike. Years ago I remember sitting, and talking to the powers that were in charge of the club I was in, they were all saying there were no young people painting. I said there are a lot of young guys painting gaming miniatures, and that is how I started. We should look there for young members. A very prominent person in the hobby, and the club said, and I quote "We do not want those guys in the club." I was stunned, and thought it very short sighted. I think time has born the feelings I had then out.

What a pleasure look at all of these! I love the robot scene... it's something you don't see often;). Outstanding job and many thanks for sharing these!

thank you very much, really i'm annoyed.

I have some other models painted i did not posted, most of them fantasy ones as i started as fantasy painter. Now i do not see the difference between a fantasy model and an historical model, both are miniatures for me, both have many colour choices to paint (even historical, i can paint the same german uniform in several different ways). Last week i wanted to paint a german ss officer in 90mm and this week i'm starting a fantasy boxart in 60mm. Maybe that could sound ridiculous for much people, but some historical painters who are very skilled and talented could try a fantasy model. I'm sure they can do a great job and ENJOY it! :D

Excellent work Javier, i saw some of them live at WE2011 and they were amazing, your space marine i think is the best painted version i've ever seen and is even better in real.

Javier, I echo what everyone else has said about your work, its just stunning. What you said about that there is no difference between fiction and non-fiction subjects is correct, there generally is no difference on how you paint them and mediums used, there is only your style and sometimes the colours that you use on them. For a person to simply not even look at a painted figure because its something that they would not consider doing is just pig headed. You should be able to learn something new from anyones style of work

Javier,

It was not may intent to to make you angry. Your work is wonderful and I am very happy to see the hobby embrace all subjects. It is the only way it will grow and expand. I do not think that historical work will go away, but a diversity of subject matter will bring more people in to the hobby. I look forward to seeing more of your work here.

Best
Jeff
