Hi all, I've not posted on PF for sometime now, so this is something I have just completed,
A Carl Reid sculpt converted to full figure, the SMLE rifle was sourced from Steve Reedee, (many thanks Steve), the brazier lights up with a led bulb, powered by a 9 volt battery fitted into the underneath of the base,
Painted in enamels & oils
Cheers
Jim
P.S. Before anyone says anything: I know a poppy doesn't bloom in Winter, I like to add a poppy to anything I build that's WW1..just a symbol of respect.

Stunning piece Jim, just come back to the UK through Flanders, it was cold but not that cold, as we say in Yorkshire 'he looks fair nithered'. Cracking detail especially the brazier.

That is superb, so evocative. Adding the light in the brazier is a brilliant touch, something I've wanted to do for a long time. Need to pluck up the courage to do it!

Excellent work allover. And you are wrong, poppies do grow in the Winter, they grow wherever brave men die....even in the dead of Winter.

Oda.
