This is one of my favorite busts, and you've done a fantastic job with him. Great work (y)

Thanks Phil, I loved the bust as soon as I seen it but when I bought it I could not proceed without adding a shield, heaven knows why the bust was released without one as it a significant piece of equipment and gives the painter the chance to add additional detail and give the subject a little extra realism. Like the guitar what you playing? Planet Rock radio accompanies me while I paint, I love my rock and metal lol.
Karl hope seeing this bust prompts you to start painting yours, I enjoy seeing how other painters approach the colouring/weathering etc of the different busts, there is some very inventive work out there.

Likewise, I have this bust too - and it'll be painted up soon enough. I couldn't agree more on the shield - it's a perfect surface for freehand and adding a some individualism to the piece. I actually play the drums, despite being a formally educated jazz musician, I play and listen to it all. As far as the rock goes, lately I've been listening to some more classic stuff - Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath, Zeppelin, Rush, and so on - always got the music blasting when painting...

Phil great taste in the figures and the tunes, good to chat, catch you soon, get that bust underway, I am just about to prime young miniatures WW1 British soldier, Somme 1916 and while it dries I am toying with the idea of starting to clean up Youngs Norman Knight so plenty going on.
Anyone else out there blasts the tunes while painting lol.
