Hi Colin,
If it's anything like his other mini series it should be a good one. I wish he or Sir Peter Jackson would do an accurate mini series on the Zulu war.

Don't be too negative before seeing it - that's what everyone said about "Valkyrie' becuase Tom Cruie was in it - and it was superbly accurate. However I agree, given it's a Hollywood effort, one should not hope for too much.

It will all depend on the book on which will be based on how they turn it into a good Tv story. A lot of potentialy good projects have ended in a great failure because of that point. So, fingers crossed.

I bet that in the movie version, Blucher arrives too late to the battlefield because he and his prussians spent too much time searching for the Holy grail out there..

I do like a well done "Historical Docudrama" if only for the battle scenes... and the opportunity to take potshots at the inaccuracies
Seeing as the USA wasn't involved in the European Theatre of the Napoleonic Wars, Hollywood won't/shouldn't/can't(????) make it seem as though a small band of everyday American Joes came in late and defeated Napoleon thereby saving Europe from tyranny... and themselves.
No offence to Americans.... Just American Media
