It's a little known fact that Napoleon and the Grande Armee were actually driven out of Moskow and pursued through the Russian winter by a company of loveable, misfit Kentucky Riflemen who just had enough of those Frenchies getting all uppity and out of hand.
Once they finished that they went home and spanked the British in Upper Canada and won the War of 1812.

I do have the Taschen book about Kubrick's Napoleon project (not the € 2.000 version ). If Spielberg uses half of Kubrick's research, the series will be a superb portrait of Napoleon and his times.

That was actually pretty good! It will round out my Sunday night TV vegging... Right between Lost Girl and Walking Dead.
The hero's wife makes the Viking series worthwhile all by her blonde haired, blue eyed self... and her accent was just icing on the cake I'm a pushover for women with accents

If it's anything like his other mini series it should be a good one. I wish he or Sir Peter Jackson would do an accurate mini series on the Zulu war.
