The snow effect is heavy on the shoulders and headgear, but nowhere else. If it accumulated on those areas, it should also be on every other horizontal surface.
Either lots of snow, or no snow - what you have now detracts from the scene.
I like HOW you've done the snow. It just seems unrealistic in the placement of the snow.
Otherwise, the painting looks good, and there's a story in the poses of the two figures. Action is implied. These guys are discussing something important. Hopefully the name plate will tell us, or suggest to us, what it is.
But for me, the snow is a distraction. I'm not thinking about your story - I'm wondering why there's no snow on the sleeves, or the map itself.
Best regards, Don

I agree with Don. The problem replicating snow like that is if it were accumulating that heavily on them, your mind expects to see it actually snowing, and it would be accumulating in lots of other places as well. No snow would be better. Everything else looks really good.

Everything was said!
This are great figures that earn more style with Hornet heads. Just a thought!!!
Pedro.

I like the painting, the idea and the composition of this piece but apart from the point already raised about the snow, the lamp post is an issue for me.... It would be made of cast iron so wouldn't bend but just snap off.

Richard.
