Hello friends.
I have some pine cubes and wish to stain them.
I know how to stain them.but what is the best way to seal the stain?
Cheers.
Ralph

Hi Ralph - Polyurethane or acrylic varnish will do the trick. Also, you can get tinted wood varnishes which do both with one hit! I would recommend using Ronseal or similar, as it dries quickly.

Touch dry in four hours , second coat the following day if you need too .
It is simple stuff and less messy than varnish by far.
Works best on hard woods though as they are close grained, used on gunstocks etc
