Hey all
Long time no see. Glad to be back. (y)

I've been trying my hand at a couple of busts lately (keep the crude comments to yourselves ya bunch of pervs :stop:) and this one I finished tonight.
The piece is a 1/12 resin offering from FeR miniatures of a Polish Lancer of the Imperial Guard. I will say this is a beautifully sculpted piece that was a pleasure to work on for a newb at this scale. Great fit and wonderful detail. Very enjoyable, if very trying, learning experience.
Also on of my favourite uniforms of the Napoleonic period.

Painted in Scale 75, Vallejo and DarkStar acrylics. The base is yet another chunk of "Ice Storm" wood from my back yard.

Thanx for looking in... comments and critiques are most welcome.
Cheers

Colin

Thanks guys! Much appreciated!
I won't lie... I did struggle with this some... at this scale there is no faking all the detail on this sculpt, and the detail is merciless!!!

Keith... coffee! Black coffee with tons of sugar!!!

Nick... I used Scale 75 paints for the reds. Super flat finish. The base colour is Blood Red+Walnut+Sunset Purple. I added Dark Forest Green to shade and Basic Flesh Tone to highlight. This flesh tone is very pink based so it maintains the tone without making the highlights "too pink".

Thanks again for looking in and for the supportive comments

Nice one young sir! I've finally taken the plunge and have one of the 1/16 FeR busts in the on-deck circle - I blame the crowd I've been hanging out with for corrupting me...

Cheers,
Brian
Funny I was going to blame u for this bust thing... I used to be strictly a leg and ass man
