I picked this little gem up recently at the Huddersfield model show, it was one of a number or new releases from Mitches Military Models.
It portrays an Ensign of the 33rd Regiment of Foot (Wellington's Own)....I decided to carry on the red theme from my previous KGL Sharpshooter..
On their stand I was delighted to see some other possible future releases...a full figure (200mm) I think ? of a 95th rifleman on campaign.. and a full figure of Napoleon...
My usual oils over acrylics and or humbrols......Mike

Fantastic painting, the reds are wonderful, bright but not over the top or unrealistic. The flag is great also, especially the way you have handled the battle damage.

Slainte,

Andy

Hi Mike.
Nice work on the tunic, and Colour. The tunic looks bright but the colour seems a little washed out, nice job.
The Shako seems a little tall though, which is out of your control so no criticism on your part.
Great work
Mick

I, like Mick, think the shako is too tall; and I still intend
to have one of these.

Well done and there's nothing else I can add to what's been said already.

Paul.

I love painting figures with red tunics, but it is a real b***** getting the tone and hue right. You are spot on - officers had bright scarlet tunics, other ranks, a darker hue.

Mike

Great job all around. You inspired me to order the full figure, not that I really needed it.
