Hi folks - our show is on this Sunday, 28th August 2022 - if anyone is at a loose end over the Bank Holiday weekend, then this is the perfect place to come and have a chat, spend some money, look at models, spend some more money, look at more models, have more chat, etc! There is also an antiques fair on in the Bingley Hall, next door on the same day, so why not combine the two shows and make a day of it..?!

See you there, (y)

Tip for anybody going, there's no cash points on site, some traders were struggling with payment by card so if you really want something take the cash to be on the safe side.

2nd year of visiting and another great show, shame for 2nd or 3rd it’s a piece of paper but with the current economics I can see why and only £1 an entry is fair enough. Be back next year and good to meet you Steve

Steve - As Im sure you can appreciate, the cost of putting on the show is pretty hefty for us as a club. Not only the hire of venue has to paid for, but every table, chair and power is costed. Every show we have done to date, any trophies I have personally paid for and produced, in my own time. This year, due to time constraints, my daughter's company have kindly laser cut the trophies, FOC and, as a club we thank them for their kind consideration. We could increase the cost of entry for next year, if you feel that a trophy is needed, but Im sure that everyone regards it as a fun event, not a cut throat effort....

I realise that a certificate is not as glittery as a trophy, but Im sure that you will understand that it is no mean achievement to be awarded 2nd or 3rd place and I hope that you will also appreciate why we opted again to only produce trophies for 1st place.

Cheers(y)

Totally agree with you, its not the Nationals but a local show, hence my post; .......... 2nd or 3rd it’s a piece of paper but with the current economics I can see why and only £1 an entry is fair enough.

Congratulations to the organisers, hope we see pictures here as well
