OK guys and railway modellers tried Chippy and Polyphemus suggestions IE Gordon and Geoff.

Here is the result with which I am pretty happy with , just some oil washes on at the mo but will tweak a bit re the colours

just a sample patch ,nothing in particular .
PS I would love to be a railway modeller but that might just be the last straw re her indoors

It's enough to make you go off the rails!

Hang on I am losing my train of thought. I will have to station myself with my laptop and get a head (of steam) around this.
