OK guys and railway modellers :) tried Chippy and Polyphemus suggestions IE Gordon and Geoff.

Here is the result with which I am pretty happy with , just some oil washes on at the mo but will tweak a bit re the colours

IMG_9711.JPG just a sample patch ,nothing in particular .
PS I would love to be a railway modeller but that might just be the last straw re her indoors:D

Quote from Ron "Hi Gordon long time no here ! I take it you use the pva as a bonding agent before using the tile grout." Spot on Ron (y)(y) , I used PVA in a generic term , Personally I will only use Unibond , it has served me well for over 35 years as a sealer, bonding agent and glue . If that's your first attempt Ron then I think you have this cracked it, it looks great . I just wont to see the size of your pointing trowel for this scale :D:D

I think there are a few people who are running out of puff...they keep steaming onto these threads.

It's enough to make you go off the rails!

Hang on I am losing my train of thought. I will have to station myself with my laptop and get a head (of steam) around this.

Oh no - I know - I'm off from here and going to do what the railway men do best and that's take a nap and be a sleeper!!!
