Excellent painting on this one Geoff, whats next, a rest........I don't think so.

Pardon my ignorance, Geoff, but isnt this regiment the Chasseurs d'Afrique, rather than a Hussar Regiment? A lovely job, though, all the same!

Thanks Valiant, I did wonder that at first as I have a small bust of a Chasseurs d'Afrique, but the uniforms are different with the lacings and hussars have their usual Pelisse as on this bust.

My God but you are fast. Very nice job Geoff. I also thought the uniform was a Chasseur d'Afrique based on the lace patterns and because I could find no references to a similar hussar uniform like that until the 1890's. But my Third Empire references are scant.
