Great start.
If I can make a comment.
You have to do some retouching on the right eye.
Paint into the corner of the nose a small line with the color of the eyeball. Then it looks more symetric and he doesn't look crosseyed.

Yes I've got that, there are a few adjustments required to the eyes. I decided to have a break from those and work on the motto. Now it's back to the eyes and then the motto again.

I've just been doing a bit more to it. Going out with the dog now for a bit of light relief.

Three repaints of the motto on the cap today and I'm still not happy.
I'm hoping when the white lettering is dry I can tidy it up a bit with the red background colour.

Have a strong coffee and lne around in the backing colour
