As Tony pointed out in the preceding comments, the whole was looking a bit monotone. I had considered pushing that as hard as I could so that the redness of the face stood out starkly against the uniform and snow....
However Stu sculpted a scarf jammed around the neck and filling the gap between the toque and the coat collar and gave me carte blanch on it
So I used the colours and design I used on the 120mm fig I am also working on!
GW Shadow Grey for a mid. Highlight is base + AV Light Flesh and shader is GW Regal Blue.. The yellow stripy bits are just GW Golden yellow applied thinly and built up to full intensity on the highlights only
This breaks up the colour of the Field grey but remains a cool colour ( mostly )
I like how it looks ( and remember a fair bit of snow will be down in that collar ) what do you think?
