Hi Chris ,

Good to see this being worked on again , the flag is coming along nicely

Are you doing the knife separate ?

Thanks for sharing

Chris,
Lovely work.
I have this bust and am itching to start on it but I have a concern about the validity of the red facings on cuffs, cap etc.. The 10th was an infantry regiment and as such I would have expected blue facings. Certainly, the weight of opinion favours red (e.g. the work of Don Troiani, Mort Kunstler etc) but I have not been able to find any supporting documentation, or the provenance of that terrific painting that inspired Carl Reid to sculpt the piece (it was a set of two, the other being the Union's 69th NY). Can anyone throw any light of this or am I raising a non-issue?

Very Nice work. I have this same bust and I'm itching to start it. All the research I've done, I believe the red is correct. Just my two cents worth.
