Anyone know how to remove acrylic paint from a 1/35 th plastic figure without damaging the figure . I had just finished painting the driver for a Willy Jeep and the final coat looked a bit shiny so I gave it a thin olive wash with a tiny tiny spot of Tamiya matting agent . The bloody thing looks like it's painted in talcum powder :mad: . If it was part of a set I would have slung it away but it's the only driver figure for this kit which will go into a diorama so I need this one . The figure was given a matt Humbrol primer before painting with acrylics . Any help please .

The plastic fig and not your wife :)

Problem sorted guys (y) . Before I set out for all the local Supermarkets to buy Ye Olde Wolde Dettol I had a quick noise around in my shed to see if something might work and found I still had a bottle of 100 percent Alcohol . I tried out an old Airfix figure first to make sure nothing funny happened to the plastic . As the liquid is absolutely clear I could see the change of colour as the paint come off within ten minutes . An hour later I had a clean figure . So I happily pop the Willy Jeep driver in a fresh batch and an hour later I have a nice clean figure ready to repaint which will be painted in oils this time ;);) .
