Beautiful work so far , i really like how you sculpt and mix and match with other figure brands, it comes alltogether in a nice creation.
Keep up the good Work Lars .
Best regards

Russ and Gerald Thanks, I'm glad you like it.

Janne: That looks like a very realistic tail. You don't have a picture of it painted?

Daniel: Thanks. Mixing and matching is just me being lazy and trying to find short cuts.

Regards Lars

Then i am a lazy bastard too , i think is a great way to build up a scene /vignette , i do the same withthe difference that i do not sculpt stuff, only hats and minor things.
Best regards and looking forward to see some color on this trooper.

Great project, following with interest

In 54 and 75 mm there is enough space to make horse tail out of hemp fibers- the most realistic I have seen so far. Brush, stain and then cut to shape, fixed with hairspray, works a treat.

Hi Lars,

excellent sculpting, esp on the folds of the great cloak and boots. The neck on the horse is excellent too.

Hemp rope will do, there used to be clumps of linen fibre that plumbers used to seal around pipes - I got a bag of it, had to import it. Ruslan Vorobiov used it on several figures to make horse hair - looks brilliant, you can also make your own grass - there is a good tutorial on Diorama.ru.

Thanks Tony, Fabrizio and Gaudin. I'm glad you like it.
Using hemp for grass on bases is great, and cheap. Have never thougt of using it as hair as well, it must be quite easy so I might try it.

Moving along with the paint. The caparison is some sort of generic variant since I'm not shure what unit I'm doing. :)
Most of the horse is now finished and it is time to undertake paintig of the rider.
