I know it’s an open competition, which is always excellent, but is there a list of classes?
A cut off time for entries? I’ve a long drive in the morning….

There's quite a few classes, entries close at 12 to give time for the judges.
Classes are afv, aircraft, sci-fi, juniors etc... Also a miscellaneous one for stuff that doesn't fit into the usual classes...

This is a big venue btw, clubs and competition in two large rooms upstairs, traders on ground floor. Free parking for 1000 cars.... Far better than the old venue in the college.

Please note the above plan is not totally accurate, it's a plan I have changed at least 20 times as various traders are added etc.. no doubt we will still have to change it on set up as this is a new venue and we need to adapt it to get around the girders etc, so hopefully the traders and public will bear with us this year so we have it spot on for next year...

That's going back a bit.....I have a photo of me aged 13 from the northern echo admiring one of the displays as an advert for the club. I reckon this show must be hitting the 50th anniversary around now...

really sorry we couldn't fit you in this time, we've just finished setting up about 150 tables and same amount of chairs.... but now we can see how it all looks and fortunately its pretty close to the map posted here. When we recover after tomorrow, we'll have a think about what we can change to get it better for next year...

Cheers Tim not a problem mate kind of you to reply. Again we wish you all the very best. And let’s hope there is room next year.

Had a great day yesterday plent space to move around each of the rooms, a big thanks to all those involved(y) I was told by one of the team that there were a few hiccups but to be honest I wasn't aware of them. I believe that some of the traders found the trading hll a bit chilly and it probably was if you couldn't leave your table. Sill that's a Tory government for you:D
Great to catch up with loads of guys from the old Euro days and great to see so many still competing.
Overall in all categories the standard was very high. Just when I need to up my game my 69 year old eyes are deteriorating fast.
After the show with a couple of hours to kill we went into one of the worst pubs I've ever been in (and I've drank in some right pits) Sign as you enter stated Drug taking will not be tolerated...let's just say this rule didn't apply to pishing on the seats.
Moved on and found very decent food and beer in The Pennyweight.
Hopefully the guys in DMMS are encouraged enough to go again.
Cheers
Derel

Definitely on for next year, I have already done the updates for the rooms... And of course today was about ten degrees warmer, which would have made a big difference in the trade hall...

It was an excellent show, would have liked to stay longer but had another engagement to make. It needs at least one bar open though!

Hopefully someone will post a photo of Terry Neashams BOS, female samurai with naginata. It's astonishing the detail he can achieve in such small scales .

Here you go...
